The idea of the meeting originated from the developments in topology and geometry based on the fundamental group, the arithmetic encoded in the Galois group and their interactions. Subsequently the scope was expanded to include the mapping class group, Teichmuller theory and related dynamical problems, and relations with low dimensional topology and arithmetic geometry.
Lectures will be on diverse topics including developments in the motivitic fundamental group and arithmetical applications, the geometrization of the absolute Galois group, lattices in Lie groups and their covolumes, hyperbolicity and Teichmuller theory, dynamics of surface diffeomorphisms and moduli of curves and curve counting applications.
