Professor Joseph Sifakis is a Greek-born
French computer scientist, laureate of the
2007 Turing Award, along with Edmund M.
Clarke and E. Allen Emerson, for his work on
model checking. He also was awarded in 2009
a Dr. h.c. from the École Polytechnique
Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland, where he
has been appointed Full Professor in 2011
(at the School of Computer and Communication
Sciences). He is also coordinator of
Artist2, the European Network of Excellence
for research on Embedded Systems.
During his visit, he will have a lecture
